HK69

"Standalone grenade launcher" “Simple, reliable, and devastating support fire.” HK69 The HK69 is a single-shot 40mm grenade launcher developed by the German manufacturer Heckler & Koch during the late 1960s. Designed as a standalone launcher, it provides infantry units with a compact and reliable platform for delivering explosive, smoke, and illumination grenades. The launcher uses a break-action system similar to that of a shotgun. After firing, the barrel is tilted downward to extract the spent casing and load a new 40×46mm low-velocity grenade. The weapon is equipped with a folding ladder sight designed for accurate indirect fire at various ranges. The HK69 can fire a wide range of NATO-standard 40mm grenades, including high-explosive, smoke, flare, and less-lethal ammunition, making it a versatile support weapon for military and law enforcement use. Key features: Chambered for 40×46mm low-velocity grenades Single-shot break-action design Folding ladder sight for ranged targeting Lightweight and reliable construction Compatible with a wide variety of 40mm grenade types Historical Background The HK69 was introduced in the late 1960s and adopted by several military and police forces worldwide. It served as a dedicated grenade launcher before under-barrel systems became widely adopted. In Germany, the weapon was used by the Bundeswehr and later evolved into improved variants such as the HK79, which was designed to be mounted under rifles like the Heckler & Koch G3. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability, the HK69 remains a recognizable example of early modern 40mm grenade launcher design. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments.
