SIG Sauer MPX

"Submachine gun / Pistol-caliber carbine" “AR ergonomics, SMG control.” SIG Sauer MPX The SIG Sauer MPX is a modern, modular submachine gun chambered primarily in 9×19mm Parabellum. Designed to combine the familiar ergonomics of the AR platform with the controllability of a pistol-caliber system, the MPX uses a short-stroke gas piston system rather than simple blowback. This design choice significantly reduces recoil impulse and improves reliability, especially when suppressed. Key features: Short-stroke gas piston operation 9×19mm Parabellum (with other caliber variants) Fully ambidextrous controls AR-style ergonomics Monolithic upper receiver with modular handguard system Historical Background The MPX was developed by SIG Sauer and officially introduced in 2013. It was created to meet the demand for a modern pistol-caliber platform that would offer improved reliability over traditional blowback submachine guns. Unlike many earlier SMGs, the MPX shares operational similarities with AR-type rifles, making training transitions easier for military and law enforcement users already familiar with that system. The platform gained popularity among law enforcement agencies, civilian shooters, and competitive sport shooters due to its modularity, low recoil, and suppressor-friendly design. Today, the MPX represents one of the most refined pistol-caliber carbine/submachine gun platforms on the market. If there are any bugs or malfunctions, write in the comments. I will try to fix them.
