Fort-5

"Compact Service / Concealed Carry Pistol" “Compact form. Service reliability.” Fort-5 is a compact Ukrainian semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9×18 mm Makarov, developed by the Ukrainian manufacturer RPC Fort. Designed primarily for concealed carry and plainclothes law enforcement use, the Fort-5 combines compact dimensions with practical service reliability. The pistol features a polymer frame and a steel slide with front and rear serrations. It operates on a simple blowback system and is equipped with a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger mechanism. A manual safety lever is mounted on the slide. Its compact profile and moderate recoil make it suitable for everyday duty or civilian defensive use. Chambered in 9×18 mm, the Fort-5 reflects the continued use of the Makarov cartridge in post-Soviet countries, offering manageable recoil and proven service performance. Brief historical background: The Fort-5 was introduced in the 2000s as part of Ukraine’s effort to develop domestically produced sidearms for police and security services. Produced by RPC Fort in Vinnytsia, the model expanded the company’s pistol lineup, which also includes the Fort-12 and Fort-17. The Fort-5 was positioned as a more compact alternative for concealed carry and operational use, reinforcing Ukraine’s independent small-arms manufacturing capabilities.
