SIG Sauer M17

"Standard Issue Service Pistol" “A modern sidearm built for adaptability, endurance, and the battlefield of tomorrow.” The SIG Sauer M17 is a full-size service pistol adopted by the United States Army as part of the Modular Handgun System (MHS) program. Chambered in 9×19 mm Parabellum, the M17 features a striker-fired system, a polymer frame, and a modular fire control unit, allowing easy customization of grip modules and configurations. The pistol is designed for reliability in harsh conditions and comes factory-equipped with a slide cut for optics, making it fully compatible with modern combat requirements. Brief History In 2017, SIG Sauer’s P320-based design won the U. S. military’s MHS competition, replacing the long-serving Beretta M9. Designated M17, the pistol became the standard sidearm of the U. S. Army, later adopted by other branches of the U. S. Armed Forces. Its modularity marked a significant shift toward adaptable, future-proof service weapons.
