Lani Low Ponytail Hair Combinations For Sara (All Presets)

I liked the short and medium hairstyles in the game well enough, but I like to have at least the illusion of a long hair, something long ponytails help with. But the default Sara ponytail has terrible roots, the high ponytail has no bangs, and the short ponytail is, well, short (and also has no bangs). So in the end I'm left with very few variations that I actually like. I know there are some hair mods already that add different bangs to low and high ponytails. But I haven't seen some of the combinations yet that I thought could look good potentially, so I made them.

Because of how the Lani hairstyle works, at first I made these available only for preset Amy (1), Ana (2), Emily (3), Mariah (5), Cora (9) and Annie (10). Since the ponytail was not designed to fit the other head shapes, I borrowed the ponytail from other, fitting head shapes. Because of this, just to be on the safe side, I made them into separate files. These are Susan (4), Desiree (6), Biftu (7) and Raylene (8). Hopefully they'll work fine as well. They replace the 19th hairstyle. I know these are minor changes only, but nonetheless, I hope you'll enjoy them!

Keep in mind that hair mods tend to make the game crash in certain places. It often varies when and where, so as a general advice: if it's crashing and don't know which mod could be causing it, try to disable your hair mods first. Most of the time it's enough to do so temporarily.

The available hairstyles are:

Pixie haircut with long bangs (C)

Shorter pixie haircut (F)

Shaggy haircut (H)

I haven't done any modding for MEA at all before so I had some difficulties figuring out how to make custom hairstyles. In the end, I used Skaramoosh's modders' resource as a base.

For a while I was stuck with how to make the hairstyles available for as many presets as possible. Kitsumi was very kind and helped me out when I was at my wit's end, so the least I can do is credit her. Go check out her awesome mods!

The inspiration for combining more of the regular hairstyles with a ponytail came from Cullenite's Morrigan-like hair. In fact, her modders' resource further helped with how to create custom hairstyles. It's a combination of C hairstyle with the high ponytail (J), so if that's what you'd like go ahead and check it out!
