Why this tool existsMost mod managers focus on installing mods from archives or managing preset packages, but Marvel Rivals mods are commonly used as already-extracted UE IoStore files (.pak/.utoc/.ucas) sitting directly inside the game’s ~MODS folder.

Before this project, there wasn’t a simple manager built specifically to scan the existing extracted files inside ~MODS and organize them in a way that makes sense for daily use.

So I built Marvel Rivals Mod Manager in Python (with AI assistance) to solve exactly that:

What it doesThis manager reads your current ~MODS folder and treats files with the same name “stem” as one mod set:

It then provides a clean UI to:

• []Show mods grouped as sets (so you don’t manage individual files by mistake)

  []Filter mods by hero category (e.g. Hela, Mantis, Emma Frost, etc.)

  []Search categories quickly (type man → find Mantis)

  []Enable / disable mods safely (so you can test conflicts without deleting files)

  []View a dedicated disabled-mod list (so you always know what’s turned off)

  []Manually tag categories for mods that can’t be auto-detected

  []Import files / import archives (archives are checked for diff/variant structures to avoid accidental installs)

  []Bind a preview image for each mod (useful when deciding which mod to disable)

  []Delete selected mods (permanent deletion, with confirmation)

The API feature (important for future compatibility)The game is constantly updated and new heroes are added over time.

To keep the category list future-proof, this manager supports an optional feature that can pull the latest hero list from MarvelRivalsAPI.com.

Why this matters:
