Installation Instructions

1 - Download Reshade from the official website: https://reshade.me/

2 - Run the installer and select the Mad Max executable (MadMax.exe).

3 - When prompted, choose DirectX 10/11/12 as the rendering API.

4 - IMPORTANT: Make sure to activate all optional effects during installation. This ensures the preset works correctly. If any effects appear in red (error) in ReShade after installation, this is normal and will not affect my ReShade or your game, as they are not used.

5 - After installation, copy my Reshade preset file (.ini) into the game’s main folder (where MadMax.exe is located).

6 - Launch Mad Max. Press Home (default Reshade menu key) to open the Reshade interface.

7 - In the Reshade menu, select my preset from the dropdown list.

8 - Once applied, the game will immediately use the enhanced visuals. If you want to disable and enable reshade, you can configure a button on your keyboard. Navigate to the Settings tab in the ReShade overlay, look for the option labeled Toggle Effect or Effect Toggle Key, choose a key that will enable or disable ReShade instantly.

To install the necessary mods (to maintain the same look as my game)

1 - Install the Darker Body Armor Textures mod (just drop its files into the game's root folder)

2 - After that, download the mods: 8K terrain and Outback Orange; Greener Grass and Acacia Bushes (drop their .dss files into the modded_textures folder)

3 - After that, the mods will be installed and active in the game

4 - Enjoy the immersion
