Killing Fred drops rewards

Ever wanted to deal with Frederic's portraits the violent way without losing out on their rewards? With this mod, killing a Fred drops the item he would have given you for completing his part of the quest.

- Bright Fred: Medic-in-a-jar

- Scared Fred: Cowardly Boots

- Fred Who Bites: Rage Armor

- Godhead Fred: Strange Feather

- Tumor Fred: 3x Tumor Lump

- Face Taker: Paint Palette

- Toxic Fred: Eyeball Hat (dropped by "Not A Cowboy Hat", the hat that chases you after Toxic Fred dies)

Freds that don't give a item reward for completing their quest (Wriggly Fred, Shadow Fred, Faceless Fred) drop nothing extra.

- Each reward drops at most once per save.

- If you already got the reward the normal way, killing that Fred won't give you a second copy.

- The drops only happen in the original fights in Frederic's apartment. Gauntlet rematches don't drop anything.

- The items show up in the normal victory message, like any other enemy drop.

- Works with existing saves and doesn't modify any game files.

INSTALLATION

Option A - With JSLoader (recommended)

1. Install JSLoader if you don't have it already.

2. Extract the "FredKillDrops" folder into:

<Look Outside install folder>/js/mods/

You should end up with:

js/mods/FredKillDrops/FredKillDrops.js

3. Launch the game.

To disable the mod, rename the folder to "FredKillDrops.off" or delete it.

Option B - Without JSLoader

1. Copy "FredKillDrops.js" into:

<Look Outside install folder>/js/plugins/

2. Open "js/plugins.js" in a text editor (back it up first!).

3. Find the last "}" before the final "];" at the end of the file, put a comma right after it, and paste this entry:

The end of the file should look like this:

{"name":"FredKillDrops","status":true,"description":"","parameters":{}}

4. Save the file and launch the game.

To disable the mod, change "status":true to "status":false, or remove the entry.

COMPATIBILITY

The mod only extends the battle drop list (Game_Troop.makeDropItems). It should be compatible with most other mods unless they replace that same function.
