Supreme Survivalist Achievement Map

Custom map for the achieve made by me, hide in a jesus box for 30 minutes while you do somethin else otherwise (spent all morning designing this then ate breakfast and came back to it working) How to do this: 1. Subscribe 2. Launch map in Survival Singleplayer, mission is called "supreme", preview image is an actual shipping crate 3. When the map loads, press your "Use" button on the metal cube near the survivor spawn to begin 4. Book it to the makeshift stairwell and step onto the metal platform 5. Once inside the shipping crate, stay still until 30 minutes pass. Things will get shaky but dont worry, a heal trigger is in the box just incase anything happens. Be aware there is an exit teleport volume on the other end of the crate so you can leave when it is over. Stay in the center of the end you teleported in on or you will be sent back outside the crate. Have fun! (Or dont) Edit 7/20/2026 This appears to be getting a lot of attention so I feel compelled to explain how this works for the curious minded. The map involves two things: detail brushes and nav meshes. The box you hide in and the platform you step up onto is known as a detail brush. In the source engine, this is effectively a prop made out of world geometry. As such, it does not impact the map's "leaf vis" and is not treated as sealable geometry (no leaks) either. If i recall correctly, this key factor prevents the AI from "seeing" the geometry even when the nav mesh does not reflect what is present. There are also false reflections in the nav mesh where the box is situated as well as the platform itself. Left 4 Dead 2's AI, like other source game AI, need a literal navigation map that is projected onto the world, both prop and geometry alike, to properly move around and perform certain tasks or movements. This fact can be exploited to create strange behaviors in custom maps. However, L4D2 has a built-in exploit prevention for this, in which spitter acid is spawned under any survivor not inside a navigati
