Tired of the Nighthawk (Owl) potion blinding you with extreme, overexposed white

Nighthawk Redux rebalances the night-vision potion's intensity to a comfortable,

refined level (tuned down to 0. 35). It provides comfortable night vision that preserves

visibility in dark areas without blowing out lights, torches, or the sky.

- Reduces Nighthawk potion blinding intensity.

- Clean and lightweight XML implementation inside a standard .pak container.

- Fully compatible with other gameplay mods.

Technical Note / Customization:

The game engine clamps the night-vision intensity. Through testing, the effective

value can only be configured between 0. 35 (this mod's default) and 1. 0 (base game default).

Anything lower than 0. 35 does nothing and defaults/reverts to the minimum threshold.

To adjust the potion intensity:

1. Open config.lua and change "OwlPotionIntensity = 0. 35" to your preferred value

(e.g., 0. 50) for your reference.

2. Because the game engine loads database XMLs before Lua scripts, you must also

apply this value directly to the XML:

- Unpack "Data/nighthawk_redux.pak" (using a zip tool like 7-Zip).

- Open "Libs/Tables/rpg/buff__alchemy.xml" in a text editor.

- Search for "owl+0. 35" and replace all occurrences with your new value (e.g., "owl+0. 50").

- Re-compress the "Libs" folder back into a ZIP archive, rename it back to

"nighthawk_redux.pak", and delete the extracted folders so only the .pak remains.

Installation (Nexus Mods):

--------------------------

1. Extract the downloaded archive.

2. Move the entire "nighthawk_redux" folder into your Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Mods directory:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Kingdom Come Deliverance II\Mods\

(If the "Mods" folder does not exist in your game directory, simply create it.)

3. Launch the game and enjoy comfortable night vision!

To uninstall the mod, delete the "nighthawk_redux" folder from your game's "Mods"
