COMBAT CHANGES

A ton has been changed about the combat with the addition of new mechanics and the retooling of old ones.

STANCES

The stance system allows the player to access various unique movesets without formchanging.

Each weapon that Xion uses is copied from another character in the series and allows her to use that character's powers, including that of Saix, Axel, and more. Formchanges now evolve those copied abilities to allow for even more powerful moves and devastating finishers.

WEAPON MECHANICS

A new input called a "Special," a signature move unique to each weapon, has been added to allow mixing up your combos beyond magic.

Each weapon has one which will cost Focus Points to use. Landing hits with most magic attacks allows Focus to be recharged, and Specials will regenerate MP if they deal damage, so you can extend your combos without having to use consumables if you incorporate both into your combos.

The following has also been added in service of the major mechanics:

• []Many animations have been changed to allow for faster cancels and overall less sluggishness, and also to fit Xion more.

• []Magic has been reworked in direct spite of KH3's approach to magic, with the addition of the Reflect and Break spells replacing Water and Cure.

  []New movement options have been added such as a Reversal input, a Trick Down option, and a dodge that can be both extended and cancelled at will.

  []A few unlockable abilities have been added to further enhance combat and progression, including a special transformation.

  OTHER CHANGES

  PARTY MEMBERS

  Donald and Goofy have been completely replaced with Xion's two best friends, Roxas and Axel.

  • []Both characters have had their main animations replaced and have some brand and familiar new attacks.

  • []The team attacks Flare Force and Goofy Bombardier have been replaced with Dancing Flames and Keys of Destiny.

  • The No Talking mod is integrated to get rid of world banter for a more immersive experience.
