Description:

Extends the expiration date on all foodstuffs, either by 2X (recommended), 3X, or 5X.

Some examples of the durability changes (in days):

vanilla        2X     3X     5X

apple 5         10     15     25

hare  1        2       3        5

bread 4         8               12     20

I initially playtested the 3X version, which quickly felt unrealistic and excessive, whereas a simple doubling of the very short vanilla duration affords a bit of a buffer, while still being immersive. (The 5X file was very minimally playtested, but should be sound.)

To Install:

Locate the 'Mods' subfolder of the 'Kingdom Come Deliverance' game directory. (The exact location will be specific to the source/provider of the game, and whether you've installed to the default location or not.)

If no 'Mods' folder exists, manually create one as a subfolder of 'Kingdom Come Deliverance'; it should be at the same level in hierarchy as folders like 'bin', 'Data', and 'Engine'.

Having located (or created) the 'Mods' folder, choose one version of 'SlowerFoodSpoil', and copy that version to the 'Mods' folder.

Be sure to install only one of the three versions!

Add the mod to your 'mod_order.txt' file.

Delete the 'SlowerFoodSpoil' folder

Remove the 'SlowerFoodSpoil' entry from 'mod_order.txt'.

Should be compatible with other mods, unless they also make edits to consumable food items via food.xml.

Can be installed and removed from an existing game. Spoil durations should update automatically to reflect the modded values.

Inspired by the several 'alternate food spoilage' mods on the KCD Nexus, none of which worked for me. Sometimes you just gotta do it for yourself.
