📋 About This Mod

This is my version of a "Stay Clean" mod. This uses xml-patching to modify tables. This means you do not need to worry having this mod overwrite other values from mods that modify the "rpg_param" and "perk_rpg_param_override" tables as well. I'm modifying the same "FullClothDirtyingOnFullSpeed" variable that similar mods alter. The Default value for this is 5000. I have set it to 15000.

Installation: Unpack into "Mods\"  and add to mod_order.txt

Table 'perk_rpg_param_override' is patched by 'perk_rpg_param_override__staycleanlonger', lines added: 0, modified: 1, equal: 0, time: 0. 000

Table 'rpg_param' is patched by 'rpg_param__staycleanlonger', lines added: 1, modified: 0, equal: 0, time: 0. 000

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Stay Clean Longer is a gameplay mod for 7 Days to Die that increases the time before your character gets dirty by modifying the FullClothDirtyingOnFullSpeed variable from 5000 to 15000. It uses XML patching to avoid conflicts with other mods that alter the same tables. Simple to install and compatible with mods that modify rpg_param and perk_rpg_param_override.

✨ Key Features

Increases the FullClothDirtyingOnFullSpeed value from 5000 to 15000, making your character stay clean three times longer.
Uses XML patching to modify tables, avoiding overwrites from other mods that alter rpg_param and perk_rpg_param_override.
Installation is simple: unpack into the Mods folder and add to mod_order.txt.
Patches both rpg_param and perk_rpg_param_override tables with minimal changes (1 added line and 1 modified line).

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 396 endorsements and over 9,000 downloads.
  • XML patching means it plays nice with other mods that touch the same tables—no more overwrite headaches.
  • Simple tweak that does exactly what it says: stay clean longer without messing with other gameplay values.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in April 2020—might not work with the latest game versions without tweaks.
  • Only changes one variable, so if you're looking for a more comprehensive cleanliness overhaul, this isn't it.
  • No detailed instructions beyond basic install steps—if you're new to modding, you might need to look up how to edit mod_order.txt.
🎯 Is This For You?
For 7 Days to Die players who are tired of getting dirty too fast and want a simple, conflict-free fix. If you use other mods that alter the same tables, this is a safe addition. Skip if you want more complex cleanliness mechanics or if you're on the latest game version and worried about compatibility.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 5 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the Mods folder in your 7 Days to Die directory—if not, create it.
  • After unpacking, add the mod's folder name to mod_order.txt to ensure it loads correctly.
  • If you're using other mods that modify rpg_param, this mod's XML patching should avoid conflicts, but always test in a new game first.
