📋 About This Mod

Very small and simple mod that removes the durability damage shoes and boots accrue just from running around.

Combat damage should be unchanged.

Ya its unrealistic, but it is def QoL

This mod is in PTF format meaning that it is safe to use with basically anything; only case where it wouldn't work is if you loaded this BEFORE a mod NOT in PTF format - then it could get overwritten and appear to have no effect.  Always load non-PTF mods FIRST, and PTF mods AFTER.

Load order is set via the mod_order.txt in your mods folder

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Simple QoL fix that saves you from constantly repairing boots (129 endorsements show it's appreciated)
  • PTF format means it's safe with almost any mod setup if you follow load order rules
  • Tiny mod, no bloat—just does one thing and does it well

⚠️ Cons

  • Unrealistic—if you care about immersion, this might break it
  • Requires careful load order management; if loaded before non-PTF mods, it can get overwritten and do nothing
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who hate the tedium of repairing shoes and boots after every long trek. If you're a survivalist who values convenience over realism, this is a must-have. Skip it if you want a more immersive durability system or if you're not comfortable tweaking load order files.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place this mod in your mods folder and make sure it's listed AFTER any non-PTF mods in mod_order.txt to avoid it being overwritten.
  • If you're using a mod manager, check if it supports PTF format—if not, you may need to manually edit mod_order.txt.
  • Test by running around for a bit and checking your boots' durability—if it's still dropping, your load order is wrong.
