📋 About This Mod
Update: The new version (3. 0) now also disables the effect of Sleepwalker perk. I originally intended to keep it but after playing for extended period with it enabled I found it got old pretty fast so I disabled it as well. You can still use version 2. 0 if you prefer to keep the Sleepwalker's effect.
The Hardcore mode provides interesting and immersive gameplay however it cannot be activated without choosing 2 or more negative perks. I find these perks very boring and tedious because they simply makes the game more grindy (i.e. you need to eat more, you learn more slowly...) and the challenge they supposedly provide is more of an annoyance rather than actual challenge (i.e. shaking hands while lockpicking or penalty for wearing closed helmet).
Therefore I made this little mod that eliminates the "effects" of all the Hardcore Perks. You can therefore enjoy the Hardcore mode with its interesting features (or lack thereof) such as no compass, no character on the map but without the tedious ones added by the HC Perks.
The mod is updated to work with 1. 9 patch and all DLCs including the Women's Lot.
Installation
Option #1
Use Vortex.
Option #2
1. Unpack the mod archive into your KingdomComeDeliverance/mods directory (e.g. C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/KingdomComeDeliverance/Mods)
2. Add the NoHCPerksEffects directory to the mod_order.txt that should be in the Mods as well. If it is not then create one. A file with single line "NoHCPerksEffects" should be enough.
3 To recap, the mod should have following structure: KingdomComeDeliverance/mods/NoHCPerksEffects/Data/NoHCPerksEffects.pak
