📋 About This Mod
HUD Cassidy
03. 2020 Update : New version ! The hud was redone , reworked, perfected... pixel by pixel (which doesn't mean it is perfect, only that I have a problem and should probably seek a therapist).
I also made a Hardcore version that doesn't show the small lines in place of the cardinal points.
Finally, I'm really sorry about the new pics (exceptional circumstances here...).
I hope you'll enjoy HUD KCD 2. 0 (let's face it, it's almost the same...) !
I've been a bit lazy with the pictures here, maybe someday I'll improve that part, until then, please know that everything
looks nice in game and has been made with love... not with the "magic selection tool" like here! :)
The "Comparison" pictures look almost as it does in game (but alpha layers are clean in game = no weird lines around compass!).
Compass does show markers (see the Mods I would recommend bellow).
The "In game" picture is the one showing what you will have.
Description
Better Vanilla HUD by Anarchia "improves the vanilla HUD while staying true to the basically very nice Kingdom Come UI style."
HUD Cassidy is a modded version of it that his author allowed me to share, Jesus Christ be praised! (And thank you Anarchia!)
Differences are as follows:
-
[]The edges of the compass and the bars have been reworked
[
]The compass is a bit thiner[]The central dot is invisible
[]The shield icon is invisible (which makes you actually watch your opponent in combat!)
[]The slashing direction "star" icon has been reworked to be minimal but visible
[]Buff and perks icons have been recolored and a bit desaturated (all of them, well, at least I think so!)
[]The white background of the health bar has been recolored
[]The enemy health bar has been recolored
[]The horse stamina bar has been recolored
There is also an optional version with visible dot for those who want to use Bow Dot Reticle mods for example.
It uses the dot from Better Vanilla HUD by Anarchia.
You only need one of the HUD KCD files (with or without dot) + the buff and perks icons file.

Note about the Hardcore mode:
If you want to use my mod with the Hardcore mode you have different options :
-
[]You can just use my mod and play.
- [
-
[]You could want to restore the whole normal ui, using Hardcore - Compass and Map Marker - Restored by Fainstrider
You can even mix and match to get just the life bars with his mod and the invisible compass version of mine !
Mods I would recommend with this
[
]No Compass No Reticle and No Healthbar (optional) by Nic0h . <

[]You can just use my mod and play.

HUD Cassidy is a visual overhaul for Kingdom Come: Deliverance's HUD, based on Anarchia's Better Vanilla HUD. It refines the compass, bars, and icons for a cleaner, more immersive interface. Includes a Hardcore variant without cardinal point lines. Last updated March 2020.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 179 endorsements and over 6,800 downloads
- Based on the popular Better Vanilla HUD, so it's a trusted foundation
- Offers a Hardcore variant for players who want an even cleaner interface
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in March 2020 — may not be compatible with the latest game patches
- Screenshots are outdated and don't fully show the in-game result, so what you see isn't exactly what you get
For Kingdom Come: Deliverance players who want a refined HUD that stays true to the vanilla style but cleans up the clutter. Perfect for immersion-focused players who find the default UI distracting in combat. Skip if you're looking for major UI overhauls or gameplay changes — this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since the mod is a replacement for the vanilla HUD, make sure to back up your original files before overwriting.
- If you're using other HUD mods, check for conflicts — this mod is based on Better Vanilla HUD, so it may not play well with other UI overhauls.
- The Hardcore version is a separate file, so pick the one that suits your playstyle — the standard version shows cardinal point lines, the Hardcore doesn't.
