📋 About This Mod
About:
I was never really satisfied with the conventional way of adding prefixes like or to item names, relying solely on alphabetical order. This often results in long names that need to be shortened to fit the limited space. Rather than sacrificing immersion for the sake of practicality, the goal of this mod is to maintain immersion while still having a well-organized inventory.
Core Concept:
This mod delves deeper into the sorting process and takes the item's properties into account, like item category, equipment slot, weapon type, quest item and so on. The idea is to sort the inventory without changing the item's name itself. In addition, category headings, which act as visual separators, can be toggled on or off with the "Category Headings" button.
Unique item IDs from Yet Another Sorting Mod by Drake0713 are included.
Feel free to check out Compact Inventory to extend the default 9-row layout to a 12-row layout.
Update Changelog:
Update 1. 3. 3. 1:
-
[]FIXED: A minor bug occured in V 1. 3. 3 which causes the options for displaying the armor slot headings to be reversed[/]
Update 1. 3. 3:
-
[]NEW: Added config setting to sort by total-stack weight or total-stack price[/]
[]NEW: Added config setting to match item prices with money display settings[/]
Update 1. 3. 2:
-
[]FIXED: Map vignette flickering bug during fast travel. KCD 2. 0 version is unaffected and remains on version 1. 3. 1[/]
Update 1. 3. 1:
-
[]NEW: Added a "Category Headings" button to show or hide the category headings for each tab. The config file loads the default state when the game starts.[/]
[]CHANGED: Daggers and torches no longer have their own separated headings in the Weapons tab; instead, they keep the heading "Off hand"[/]
[]CHANGED: Some minor tweaks to localized strings[/]
[]REMOVED unused localized strings[/]
Update 1. 3:
The base mod and the KCD 2. 0 compatible version now both have the same name in the manifest file to simplify maintenance and localization. The German translation is now a standalone mod to keep it consistent with other translations.
The config file received an update:
-
[]Category headings for each inventory tab can now be toggled on or off[/]
[]Customizing the money display is now possible. Features are:
- exact value
- truncation with suffix letters starting at 1. 000 or 1. 000. 000
- truncation precision (amount of decimals)[/]
The Miscellaneous Files section now contains templates for each language that include pre-translated strings for unique items from Yet Another Sorting Mod (items with the name *_XXX have the same name as the base item). Category headings still need to be translated.
Translations from the community are very much appreciated, as I don't want to rely on machine translations due to inaccuracies.
Update 1. 2. 2:
The sort order can now be adjusted in the config file.
Update 1. 2. 1:
Instead of maintaining two versions, there is now only one version with a config file.
The config file (optional files) must be manually placed in the game's root directory where the .exe file is located. The following settings can be adjusted:
g_arsi_mode =
0) Basic mode: actual equipment slot names for category headings (default)
1) Numeric mode: layered style (Head I, Head II, Head III)
g_arsi_show_category_labels =
-
[]Category headings for each inventory tab can now be toggled on or off[/]
-
[]NEW: Added a "Category Headings" button to show or hide the category headings for each tab. The config file loads the default state when the game starts.[/]
-
[]FIXED: Map vignette flickering bug during fast travel. KCD 2. 0 version is unaffected and remains on version 1. 3. 1[/]
-
[]NEW: Added config setting to sort by total-stack weight or total-stack price[/]

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 110 endorsements and over 6,600 downloads.
- Keeps immersion by not renaming items, unlike traditional prefix-based sorting mods.
- Actively maintained with recent updates (June 2026) and a changelog showing bug fixes and new features.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires manual config editing for advanced sorting options like stack weight/price.
- The mod is specific to KCD 2, so no support for other games.
- Potential compatibility issues with other UI mods that alter inventory layout, though it suggests Compact Inventory.
For Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players who want a more organized inventory without breaking immersion. Perfect for hoarders and completionists who struggle to find items quickly. Skip if you prefer simple alphabetical sorting or don't mind renaming items.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the config file after first launch to adjust sorting options like stack weight or price.
- Use the 'Category Headings' button in-game to toggle headings on or off as needed.
