I have changed the armor type of the chain crown and chain neck (collar) guard from chainmail to plate armor.

I have also changed the armor type of all plate armor coats (including those for hands and feet) from leather armor to plate armor (since their names all contain the word "plate armor"). This way, the pleasant clinking sound of the plate armor can mask the rustling noise caused by wearing chainmail!

I have not modified the armor types of the long chainmail, short chainmail, or chainmail breeches to cater to those who sometimes want to hear the rustling sound of chainmail (of course, this rustling sound only occurs when plate armor is not worn, just like in real life).

This mod only modifies the armor_type.xml file. Therefore, in theory, it is compatible with all mods that modify equipment values.

2. 0 updata

In the 2. 0 update, I have further refined the armor categorization for all types of armors and adjusted their priority levels. This enables more accurate armor sound effects to play with different armor combinations.

For instance:

If you wear full plate armor or a plate cuirass (brigandine), you will still generate plate armor sounds even without a helmet. Conversely, if you wear no torso plate armor—only chain mail—and your lower-body/foot armor is a plate cuirass or segmented plate armor (rather than one-piece plate armor with integrated plate boots), only chain mail sounds will be produced.
