📢New mod: Proper Third Person View (TPV Camera)

I have released a new, ground-up third-person camera mod: Proper Third Person View (TPV Camera).

Rather than switching on the game's built-in debug camera the way TPVToggle does, it leaves the game in first person and rebuilds the third-person view on top of it, then adds the parts that actually matter: camera collision (no clipping through walls), raycast-based crosshair alignment, free-look orbit, zoom, and an in-game preset manager. It is simpler under the hood and works much better for normal play.

What this means for KCD2_TPVToggle: this mod is now in maintenance mode. I will keep it working across game updates where I can, but there will be no further feature updates from here on. For the better experience, grab the new mod above.

This mod enables toggling between first-person and third-person camera views in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II using customizable hotkeys, giving you a new perspective on the medieval world of Bohemia.

    Installation

    1. Extract all files from the archive to your game directory:

    <KC:D 2 installation folder>/Bin/Win64MasterMasterSteamPGO/

    2. Launch the game and press F3 (default) to toggle the camera view

    Linux / Steam Deck (Wine/Proton)

    Since this mod uses dinput8.dll as the ASI loader, you need to tell Wine/Proton to use the bundled DLL instead of its built-in version.

    Steam: Go to the game's Properties → Launch Options and add:

    WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%

    Command line: Prepend your launch command with:

    WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b"
