Semi Transparent HUD

Description

Make some of the basic elements semi transparent, with also a simpler compass (separate mod).

Please note this is a basic version to start with, not everything is covered. If someone makes another mod with better coverage, I’ll remove this one.

- Bottom HUD and compass are 50% transparent, center HUD (lock combat, looting) and right text / prompts (e.g. NPC names, key tooltips) are 75%

Compatibility

Not compatible with any mod modifying hud.gfx.

Installation

• []Download mod and open archive

  []Choose one version

• Drop in your KCD2\Mods folder (create if missing)

  Please note I will not take much requests, it is quite time consuming to edit all those files / properties.

  If you want to change yourself transparency levels, go to the modding discord to ask for help, download jindrapetrik/jpexs-decompiler: JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler, extract all the files from IPL_GameData.pak (in the game Data folder), go to Libs\UI, either take this mod hud.gfx (inside the SemiTransparentUI.pak\Libs\UI), put it there (replace), and start to edit with JPEXS.

  Look for Sprites and change their Alpha color "1 to 256", or you can also change whole parts of the screen under Frames (names are like: cl (center left), br (bottom right), cc (center center), etc.), use your knowledge of the game / what appears there to know what you want to modify.

  Note Alpha color is not changeable by default, you need to check True the colors and alpha.

  - Its 2025 and Warhorse Studio still doesn't know what immersion mean or simply protection OLED displays. How come this is not an in-game setting, along with Dynamic HUD?
