Renamed Horse Mod

Have you Acquired a stolen horse and you don't like that it's just called Horse? Well, then you're like me!

This mod is a simple localization edit that changes the ui name for the unnamed horses in the game (simply named Horse) to Vroom.

If you're happy with the name Vroom that I chose, then just download and unzip the folder Renamed_horse into the games mod folder ...steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Mods\. Most likely, you aren't so see below.

Instructions on how to choose your own name

0. Download KCD Pak builder. You need that to repack correctly for the game to recognize your edits.

1. Download and extract the folder Renamed_horse into the games mod folder ...steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Mods

2. Extract renamed_horse.xml from English_xml.pak in ... Mods\Renamed_horse\Localization\

3. Delete English_xml.pak

4. Open renamed_horse.xml and change Vroom to whatever name you want.

5. Create a folder named English_xml and then put your edited renamed_horse.xml in that folder.

6. Use the KCD PAK Builder with PAK Filename English_xml, Output directory .../Mods/Renamed_horse/Localization and your English_xml Directory

Basic instructions on how to change the name of Pebbles

This is a bit involved and contains a lot of spoilers so I wouldn't recommend it for a first timer. What you do is navigate to the Localization folder (...steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\Localization) and find English_xml.pak, open, extract text_ui_soul.xml, open with Notepad++, search for Pebbles.

Copy each row that contains the word Pebbles into the renamed_horse.xml inside of the <table> ... </table> header and edit it accordingly. Then redo the procedure of using the KCD Pak builder etc.
