More Reasonable Rents

Why is renting an inn room even cheaper than a single piece of cheese? Why is the price to rent a room long-term so absurdly low?

I tried to justify it, but failed—that’s why this mod exists.

This mod is available in three distinct versions.

Basic Version:

1. Increased base rental prices:

Beds that originally cost 5Gr are now 12Gr, and private rooms that were 12Gr are now 28Gr. After all, saving progress, food in the pot, a proper bed, and a private storage chest are all valuable amenities.

2. Adjusted long-term rental scaling:

The long-term rate is no longer 10x the daily price, it’s now set to a full month’s cost (x30).

Examples: 12Gr/night bed → 360Gr long-term buyout; 28Gr/night private room → 840Gr.

This means you’ll need to weigh if the investment is worthwhile before committing to a long-term room buyout.

Advanced Version:

1. Increased base rental prices:

Beds that originally cost 5Gr are now 24Gr, and private rooms that were 12Gr are now 56Gr. Compared to roughing it at roadside campsites, staying at an inn is a luxury.

2. Adjusted long-term rental scaling:

The long-term rate is no longer 10x the daily price, it’s now set to a full season’s cost (x90).

Examples: 24Gr/night bed → 2160Gr long-term buyout; 56Gr/night private room → 5040Gr.

You’ll almost never be able to afford to buy an inn room outright, you’ll always have to pay for a place to stay.

Weekly Version:

Daily rental now offers two options: Basic Version price and Advanced Version price.

Long-term rental is now set to one week, but comes with a discount—allowing you to pay for only 5 days. This means you’ll need to plan your itinerary when choosing between short-term and long-term stays.
