MAP CONTROLS:

• Right-click on map — set a green flag and move selected characters

• Left-click drag — pan the map

• Mouse wheel — zoom in/out (100% to 5000%)

• +/- buttons — zoom in/out

• 100% button — reset zoom to 100% instantly

• [>O<] button — center map on player

• (O) button — toggle auto-center (map follows player)

• Real-time clock in the minimap header

NPC DISPLAY:

• N/E/C/A buttons — filter NPCs by faction status

• NAME button — toggle NPC names

• SQDS button — show faction names above squad leaders (golden text)

• BNTY button — show bounty amounts on wanted NPCs (golden text + yellow ring)

• Danger rings — animated red ring around characters in combat

• Perception-based visibility — NPCs appear within squad's perception range

TOWNS & LOCATIONS:

• TOWN button — toggle city icons, names, borders, and editor markers

• Custom icons for cities, outposts, ruins, camps, nests, prisons, POIs

• Town names visible at 1000%+ zoom

• Town borders (white circles) visible at 500%+ zoom

• Hover over town icon — shows faction name, status, and relations

• All locations including hidden/undiscovered ruins

MARKER EDITOR:

• EDIT button — open editor with 28 custom icons (2 pages)

• Click icon to place, drag to reposition

• SET — save marker with custom name

• REN — rename selected marker

• DEL — delete marker with confirmation

• LOOSEN/LOCKED — toggle editing protection

DEV MODE (CHEATMAP):

• Reveals ALL towns, ruins, POIs without discovery limits

• Shows ALL NPCs in loaded zones without perception range

• No faction filter restrictions

• Works with SQDS button to show squad faction names

• ? button — 4-page help window with full legend and instructions

• Quick reference for all controls and features

TROUBLESHOOTING

ALT+TAB FIX (Refresh):

• If text sizes or button positions become distorted after Alt+Tabbing,

simply close the minimap and reopen it by clicking the "Minimap" button.

• This triggers a full UI refresh that restores all fonts and positions

to their correct values.

• Works for: title text, clock labels, button fonts, town names, and

the minimap button position.

KenshiMinimap

A real-time minimap overlay for Kenshi with NPC tracking, town markers, and a built-in marker editor.

ABOUT

KenshiMinimap adds a fully interactive minimap to Kenshi. It shows your

squad, nearby NPCs, towns, ruins, camps, and any custom markers you place —

all updating in real time as you explore. The UI is fully resizable and

works at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K.

The mod is designed to feel like a native part of the game: hotkey toggle,

in-game settings panel, help window, and full mouse/keyboard control.
