Jurassic Mod Manager

What's New : This manager now works for all JWE games.

Description

This Manager lets you make all your mod files look really organised!

You might need to add a lot of stuff manually, but believe me, it's worth it, especially if you have too many mods installed.

Some mods work only in sandbox mode, so it is a really tiring job to Remove/Add them every time you want to play Campaign/Challenge/Sandbox mode.

This also includes a built-in backup feature.

*This app won't change any fundamental in-game files. And I don't have JWE3 as of now, but I don't think it will matter, as this app won't change your in-game data. (This was originally made for JWE1)

Installation Instructions

1. Extract the .rar file to an empty folder and open the manager. (It might show a warning upon opening, as it is not officially signed. To run it, click "More Info" and then click "Run Anyway.")

2. Select JWE3, go to Settings, and browse to your game folder that has the game (.exe)

3. Manually modify the manager as per your requirements.

Setup complete. (You can create a shortcut to the desktop according to your preference)

(For Vanilla mode to work, follow the steps given below)

FOR VANILLA MODE TO WORK:

(Read All The Steps Carefully Before Performing)

1. Open your main game folder "Jurassic World Evolution 3", and move your modded "ovldata" folder to any other safe place, like the desktop.

2. Open Steam, verify your files, and install the missing files so that the vanilla (Non-Modded) "ovldata" folder comes back.

( Now you have 2 "ovldata" folders; one is modded, and the other is the vanilla one. )

3. Now comes the important step: rename "ovldata" (the vanilla one) to exactly "ovldata_vanilla" (make sure it's exactly this!)

4. Press the Win + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box. Type %localappdata% and press Enter.

5. Now, move "ovldata_vanilla" to "AppData\Local\Jurassic Mod Manager\JWE3\Game Modes"

6. Move your modded "ovldata" again to the game's "Win64" folder without doing any renaming!

(After setup, make sure both your "ovldata" folders are on the same drive)

IMPORTANT NOTE

If you get an error of some kind, make sure to report it; I will look into it.

This was made in C# (with WPF, built in Visual Studio).

Also, this manager won't have any preview images initially; you'd need to add them manually.

This Mod Manager doesn't borrow any files from other mods; it's just an interface to manage mods.

A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE

Create a temporary backup of your game files before using the manager. You can safely delete it after verifying the app works.

(Delete the backup after testing, ensuring all features of the manager work correctly.)

Moreover, it is advised to close the running game before switching to the Vanilla/Modded Version.
