📋 About This Mod

Modernizes Into the Radius 1.0 graphics with properly configured DLSS modes, Unreal Engine TAU upscaling, 60-160% VR resolution control, automatic VRAM-aware texture streaming and an updated DLSS runtime.

ItR1. 0 Graphics Enhanced

ItR1. 0 Graphics Enhanced modernizes the rendering of Into the Radius 1. 0 and improves the way the game uses the performance and video memory available on modern GPUs.

The mod combines three main improvements:

- a more complete rendering system with TAU and DLSS

- automatic texture streaming management based on available VRAM

- and a newer version of the NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution runtime.

It completely replaces the old ItR1. 0 DLSS Fix previously released on this page.

Rendering Enhanced

In the original ITR 1. 0, DLSS is incorrectly configured: regardless of the DLSS mode selected, the game keeps the internal rendering resolution at 100% (r. ScreenPercentage = 100).

In practice, this means that Quality, Balanced and Performance do not actually reduce the internal rendering resolution as they normally should.

This was the original problem fixed by my first DLSS Fix.

Graphics Enhanced keeps that correction and expands the system much further.

TAU (Temporal Anti-Aliasing Upsampling) is Unreal Engine's built-in temporal upscaling technology. Like DLSS, it allows the game to render internally at a lower resolution and reconstruct a higher-resolution image using information from multiple frames. Unlike DLSS, it does not require an NVIDIA RTX GPU.

The available rendering modes are now:

  • []None / Native  → 100%[/]

    []TAU High Quality → 85%[/]

    []TAU Quality → 75%[/]

    []DLSS Quality → 66. 7%[/]

    []TAU Performance → 65%[/]

    []DLSS Balanced → 58%[/]

    []DLSS Performance → 50%[/]

    []DLSS Ultra Performance → 33. 3%[/]

This means you can now choose between native rendering, Unreal Engine TAU, or the different NVIDIA DLSS modes, with the internal rendering resolution actually being reduced when an upscaler is used.\

The VR Resolution control remains independent from the upscaler and can now be adjusted from 60% to 160%.\

This makes it possible, for example, to target a 140% or 160% VR output resolution while using TAU or DLSS to avoid rendering every pixel at that full internal resolution.

A Sharpness control from 0. 0 to 1. 0 is also integrated directly into the graphics menu.

Texture Streaming Enhanced

ITR 1. 0 normally starts with only a 2048 MB texture streaming pool and 50 MB of temporary streaming memory.

That was reasonable for older hardware, but it is very conservative on modern GPUs with 12, 16 or 24 GB of VRAM.

Graphics Enhanced now automatically detects the available dedicated GPU memory at startup and assigns approximately 50% of the detected VRAM to the texture streaming pool, with a maximum limit of 16 GB.

Typical examples:

  • []8 GB GPU → about 4 GB texture pool[/]

    []12 GB GPU → about 6 GB[/]

    []16 GB GPU → about 8 GB[/]

    []24 GB GPU → about 12 GB[/]

    []32 GB or more → 16 GB maximum[/]

This does not mean the game is forced to use all of that memory. It simply gives Unreal Engine a texture budget that better matches the installed GPU.

The engine can therefore keep more texture data available in VRAM when needed instead of operating under the very small original 2 GB limit.

Temporary memory available to the texture streamer is also increased from 50 MB to 256 MB.

Everything is automatic: there is no VRAM preset to choose and no manual configuration required.

VRAM detection happens only once when the game starts. There is no continuous hardware monitoring, recurring scan or background polling.

Updated DLSS Runtime

Graphics Enhanced also includes NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution 310. 9. 1, replacing the older DLSS DLL used by Into the Radius 1. 0.

These are two separate improvements:

The updated DLL provides a newer DLSS runtime, while Rendering Enhanced fixes and controls the actual internal rendering resolutions used by the different DLSS modes.

Simply replacing the DLSS DLL does not fix the original ITR 1. 0 scaling problem by itself.

IMPORTANT - Previous ItR1. 0 DLSS Fix users

--> Do not run the old DLSS Fix together with Graphics Enhanced. <--

If you are already using the old ITR10_DLSS_VR_Fix_FreemanOtzi , remove it before installing Graphics Enhanced.

More specifically, delete its old folder from LuaMods
