Clean Pull - Telekinesis Physics Tweak

Created with help from Codex, an AI coding assistant by OpenAI. Codex helped me look at the game files, write the Lua mod, and tune the mod based on my testing and the debug UE4SS logs.

Description:

Clean Pull - Telekinesis Physics Tweak makes force grabbing feel cleaner when pulling items out of piles, shelves, or cluttered areas.

When you force grab an item, the mod temporarily reduces collision between the grabbed item and nearby loose objects. This helps stop the usual physics burst where everything around it gets shoved, launched, or scattered.

It does not let you pull items through walls or solid world geometry. Walls, floors, shelves, tables, doors, and other environment objects still block normally. (although if requested could probably make it go through minimal objects like doors, tables, and cabinets.)

Installation instructions:

1. Download the mod.

2. Drag and drop the mod to "IntoTheRadius2/IntoTheRadius2/Content/Paks/LuaMods"

3. Launch the game.

The final install path should end up like this:

IntoTheRadius2/IntoTheRadius2/Content/Paks/LuaMods/CleanPull

Main features:

-  Smoother force grab / telekinesis behavior

-  Helps pull items from under loose clutter

-  Reduces object explosions from physics collisions

-  Keeps wall and environment collision intact

-  Only active during force grab

-  Restores normal collision after the grab

-  Lightweight QoL tweak for PCVR

Multiplayer:

- New versions still proved to have bugs. Current new version supports single player, the mod still works in multiplayer but you'll have desync of items, when they are flung, if you are viewing someone else force grabbing stuff.

Working on trying to fix the desync soon. 

Requirements / Tested Version:

- UE4SS v3. 0. 1 or ITR2 UE4SS Clean Repack (from my testing works with either installed)

- Tested only on the latest Steam build for IntoTheRadius2 as of July 10, 2026:

Tweaking:

If you want to adjust the mod, open this file in Notepad++ or preferred app:

IntoTheRadius2/Content/Paks/LuaMods/CleanPull/Scripts/main.lua

At the top of the file, you can tweak these settings:

MAX_IGNORE_PAIRS = 16

How many nearby loose objects the grabbed item can ignore. Lower = better performance. Higher = better for bigger piles.

IGNORE_RADIUS_CM = 70. 0

How close nearby objects need to be before they are ignored. Lower = more focused. Higher = affects more clutter.

MAX_IGNORE_SECONDS = 0. 90

How long temporary collision ignoring lasts. Lower = restores faster. Higher = gives the item more time to reach your hand.

Recommended:

If you get lag, lower MAX_IGNORE_PAIRS first.

If big piles still explode, raise MAX_IGNORE_PAIRS a little.
