Description

Restoring the Cinematic settings in video/graphics for Icarus that were removed at some point by Rocketwerkz, these files when placed in the directories shown in the images provided, and the locations/paths shown, will restore these options for those that have the hardware to run these high visual quality options at an FPS they are comfortable with or for those that care more about visual quality over FPS when they do not possess the hardware to run these settings and have high FPS.

I noticed at some point Icarus looked bad in my opinion compared to what it had looked like and what my screenshots up to that point had in terms of quality, draw distance, etc. After doing some research I found out that users found ways to restore these settings. I made these files as an easier path to achieving this for everyone and am sharing it here.

I feel that as PC gamers we should have the choice to push our hardware as we see fit, and tailor things to fit our needs and wants with the games we spend our money on, while I love Icarus and appreciate Rocketwerkz, I feel that in their decision to remove these settings they removed choice, which I feel is a mistake on their part- especially when one considers the amount of money you'd have to spend to get the game and all of the content currently released for it.

Installation instructions

I advise backing up the original files before copy/pasting these files into the directories below.

Engine.ini unzip Engine.ini into the directory below:

Engine.ini must be placed in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Icarus\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

SettingsSchema. JSON unzip SettingsSchema. JSON into the directory below :

SettingsSchema. JSON must be placed in \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Icarus\Icarus\Config

BOTH files are required in order to restore the Cinematic settings/options.
