Made for the Variant servers and anyone else who wants less folder juggling and more ICARUS. Add your mods, pick what stays enabled, and launch the game through Steam.

What it does

• []Import PAK mods and keep them in separate Enabled and Disabled lists.[/]

  []Move mods with the arrow buttons or drag them between lists.[/]

  []Launch modded or vanilla ICARUS through Steam, with a confirmation before launch.[/]

  []Find your ICARUS folder and open the mods folder from the app.[/]

  []Install or update Dova Locks, with file checks and backups for replaced files.[/]

  []Use Dova Locks save tools to manage lock data.[/]

  []Collect useful lock events with DovaOutPut and open Unreal crash reports for a closer look.[/]

  Getting started

  • []Download the installer from the Files tab. If the download is a ZIP, extract it first.[/]

    []Run Variant-Mod-Organizer-Installer.exe and follow the setup steps.[/]

    []Open Variant Mod Organizer and check the ICARUS folder it found. Use Change folder if needed.[/]

    []Close ICARUS before adding, removing or updating mods.[/]

    []Open Add / remove mods to import your PAKs and choose what is enabled.[/]

    []Choose Launch modded or Launch vanilla. Steam handles the game launch.[/]

    Vanilla mode puts managed mods aside so you can play without them. Switch back to modded when you want them again. Your snacks will have to wait through one more loading screen.

    Dova Locks

    The Mod Organizer always includes the latest Dova Locks version. Click Install / Update when your server is using that version. The server and every player need the same mod version.

    You can use the organizer for other PAK mods too. Installing Dova Locks is optional.

    A few things to know

    This organizes PAK files... it does not merge their contents or automatically fix conflicts between mods that change the same game files. If you use a merged PAK from Icarus Mod Manager, avoid enabling the original copies alongside it.

    The diagnostics viewer helps you read the available crash details. It cannot identify the cause of every Unreal crash. Stop the game or server and back up your lock saves before editing them.

    Requirements

    Windows 10 (1809 or newer) or Windows 11, 64-bit, with ICARUS installed through Steam. An internet connection is needed for update checks and downloads. The app includes its runtime, so there is no separate . NET setup.
