📋 About This Mod
This mod alters Workshop items to be more useful.
The Workshop seems a bit pointless to me, buying Blueprints and paying to get things crafted that are barely needed anyways.
These are quickly surpassed by anything crafted during the missions or if you have an open prospect, operations become a breeze and there is zero need to waste your hard earned currency on tools and weapons.
So, here's a very early attempt to change that!
Currently only changes Ammo and some consumables.
This means, any Ammo Bundles you get from the workshop - Arrows, Bolts, Pistol/Shotgun rounds - should all give you 50 instead of the regular 25 and Consumables from 5 to 10.
Also changed their descriptions to match these values (This was a pain to do for No Good Reason).
We're not stopping here however, I have plans to expand this to all Workshop items (When I have the time)
Planned currently are:
- Price changes for all items
- Perk changes for Tools/Weapons/Armor to make them a lot more worthwhile
- Changes to Module bonuses so they're more useful
I've been sitting on this thing for a while since I can't find the time to actually test these changes yet, so hang tight and I'll see what kind of abomination I can conjure here when opportunity arises.
Always make a backup (Under your Local - Icarus - Saved) of your data just so nothing gets lost.
If you don't know how to install mods for Icarus:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Icarus\Icarus\Content\Paks\mods
Just gotta unpack and drag the .pak file in there, if the Mods folder doesn't exist, create it.
But I highly advise to just use Jim's Mod Manager anyway, it's great.
Incompatibility:
- Any mods that alter the D_Itemable.json and D_ItemTemplate.json files (Where the stacks/Ammo Bundle quantities are) will most likely be incompatible, use IMM Merged Mod option to override this. Properly done, this can be used together with my stacks with no issues whatsoever (Or any other mods for that matter).
Currently working on some other mods, but if there's anything that needs work or any suggestions, I'm open to it.
