Get started

Regular locks: Look at a supported door, window, container or bench. Hold Shift, then hold your Interact key. Set a four-digit PIN and use Link connected base to protect the connected structure.

Dova's Ward: Craft it where you craft the Flow Meter, using the same materials. Place it and tap Interact. Install a PIN and choose a 1–60 m radius. Owners and co-owners can change its settings.

Protects structures, placed equipment and loot bags from unauthorized player access and damage. Anyone can repair; upgrades, pickup and crop removal need permission. Storms and wildlife still get a vote.

Joined Wards, without the guessing

Up to three touching Wards with the same owner join their boundaries and share player access and a name. Each keeps its own PIN. Another owner's claim cannot be absorbed.

A new Ward on your own linked base can reuse its PIN and access. The linked base stays protected beyond the bubble. Removing one Ward lock leaves other Ward, base and private locks alone. The removed lock stays off until you explicitly install it again.

Your Ward Display changes only how bubbles look on your screen. Hiding them does not turn protection off. Check nearby protection for green protected pieces and red unprotected pieces; show nearby Wards within 150 m.

Friends and their permissions

Guest: Repair only.

Associate: Repair and use doors, windows and benches. The starting role after entering a PIN.

Member: Shared storage, building, upgrades, pickup and crop removal.

Co-owner: Member access plus managing locks and Ward settings.

Owner: Full control.

Owners can add players by Steam ID in the Players tab, even while they are offline. No PIN handover needed.

Use This object to share a chest or bench whose lock you own with selected players or everyone. Sharing allows use and taking items; moving, pickup and lock controls still require normal permissions. A Public use badge identifies community storage. Removed players stay blocked.

Private storage keeps its own access. Members can add a private lock to chests they placed, even if Member access came later. Older chests without a recorded placer need an authorized pickup and placement again first.

Server admins: Use the game's /AdminLogin with your server admin password, then open Server Admin in lock controls. Temporary opening overrides, lock recovery and recent activity live there.

Install or update

Close ICARUS and stop the server. Extract the ZIP and put Dova-Locks_P.pak in:

Icarus/Content/Paks/modsUse that path inside your game or dedicated-server folder. Create mods if needed, replace the old PAK and keep one copy. The server and every player need the same file.

Back up your prospect and both A/B lock saves before updating. Keep those saves. Remote-server locks are saved on the host; editing a client's files does not change them.
