Custom Game Speed

Command SystemBasic Commands

• []/speed <multiplier> - Set the game speed to a specific multiplier

  []Example: /speed 0. 5 for slow motion (50% speed)

  []Example: /speed 2. 0 for fast motion (200% speed)

  []Example: /speed 1. 0 to restore normal speed

  []/speed (no arguments) - Display current game speed with percentage

  []/speed reset - Instantly restore normal speed (1. 0x)

  []/speed toggle - Quickly switch between normal speed and your last custom speed

  • []First-time toggle defaults to 0. 5x (slow motion) if no custom speed is set

    []/speed increase or /speed i - Increase speed by specified amount

    • []Default increment: 0. 1x

      []Example: /speed i increases by 0. 1x

      []Example: /speed increase 0. 5 increases by 0. 5x

      []Automatically caps at maximum speed with notification

      []/speed decrease or /speed d - Decrease speed by specified amount

      • []Default decrement: 0. 1x

        []Example: /speed d decreases by 0. 1x

        []Example: /speed decrease 0. 25 decreases by 0. 25x

        []Automatically caps at minimum speed with notification

        ConfigurationThe plugin maintains a configuration system that survives server restarts:

        • []Current Speed - Your active game speed is saved automatically

          []Toggle Target Speed - Your preferred custom speed for quick toggling

          []Min/Max Speed Limits - Configurable boundaries (default: 0. 01 - 10. 0)

        Configuration is stored in JSON format and can be manually edited if needed.

        Permission System

        • []customspeed.command.speed - Required to use any /speed commands

        []Automatically granted to server operators

        []Automatically granted to single-player world owners

        []Can be customized for multiplayer servers with role-based permissions

      Installation
      • []Install to Hytale

        []Copy JAR to <Hytale Directory>/UserData/Mods/

        []Windows path example: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Hytale\UserData\Mods

        []Launch Hytale

        • []Plugin auto-loads on server start

          []Check console for "CustomSpeed enabled" message

          []Verify Installation

          • []Run /speed in-game

            []Should display current speed

            []If the console says "Command not found!" please enable the mod in the config.json file of the save

            Requirements

            • []Hytale (compatible with current server API)

              []Java 21 or higher

              []Server operator permissions (for single-player) or customspeed.command.speed permission (for multiplayer)

            Compatibility

              []Works in both single-player and multiplayer
