Crystal Drops

Crystal Drops is a lightweight Quality of Life mod for Hytale that makes crystal blocks much easier to collect and use for building without changing their original resource value.

Instead of immediately dropping shards when mined, supported crystal blocks now drop the crystal block itself. When you need crafting materials, simply cut the crystal back into its original shard value at the Builder's Workbench.

Features

Crystal Blocks Drop Themselves — Mining supported crystals gives you the actual decorative crystal block instead of immediately converting it into shards.

Cut Crystals Into Shards — Crystal blocks can be processed at the Builder's Workbench to recover their appropriate shards.

Vanilla Balance Preserved — Cutting a crystal returns the same shard value associated with that crystal, preventing resource duplication.

Automatic Crystal Detection — Supports crystal blocks following Hytale's Rock_Crystal_<color>_<size> naming structure.

Server-Side — Multiplayer players do not need to install the mod individually when joining a server using Crystal Drops.

Lightweight — No commands, configuration files, or custom interfaces required.

This keeps crystal gathering balanced while making decorative crystal blocks much more practical to collect and build with.

Installation

1. Download the .jar file from the Files tab.

2. Navigate to your Hytale installation or server folder.

3. Place the file inside the /mods folder.

4. Fully restart the game or server.

5. Mine a supported crystal block to confirm Crystal Drops is active.
