📋 About This Mod
1. Get latest Reshade with full addon
2. Get Rest Reshade
GitHub - 4lex4nder/ReshadeEffectShaderToggler: Reshade 5+ addin to apply Reshade effects to render targets of shader groups based on a key press. It allows you to configure these groups from within the addin as well.
3. Immersive reshade
GitHub - martymcmodding/iMMERSE: Marty's Mods Epic ReShade Effects
4. Zenteon GitHub - Zenteon/ZN_FX: Zentient ReShade Shaders
5. Put the files on game folder and overwrite them i modified rest_tonemap.sf.
6. You can use sf_crashpad to use motion vector of the game or immersive launchpad
7. Disable ingame ambient occlusion and use high preset with DLAA(this only work on native resolutions not upscaled ones)
7. You can also use this for the much better immersive mxao(make sure to use bitmask one better and put) ambient occlusion to replace ingame ssao.
So far Rest Reshade works only on native resolutions(bugged under or over 100% resolution) so this might be demanding for some did this to replace ingame poor ao but you can add ray tracing shaders to if you have the gpu horsepower
Some extra comparison for better why i dont like ingame ao Rest Reshade to hide depth effect behind smoke,ui using mxao with bitmask vs ingame ssao - ImgsliCredits

A niche ReShade preset for Skyrim that applies depth effects like ambient occlusion and global illumination behind smoke, fog, and UI effects. With only 7 endorsements and 266 downloads, it's a small, specialized mod for players wanting enhanced visual depth in atmospheric scenes.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny but dedicated following (7 endorsements) — if you're into atmospheric screenshots, this could be your hidden gem.
- Adds subtle depth to fog and smoke, making scenes feel more grounded without overhauling the whole look.
- Lightweight and focused — doesn't touch gameplay, just visual polish for those who love moody weather.
⚠️ Cons
- Very low endorsement count (7) — likely untested by the wider community, so expect potential issues.
- Last updated in April 2024 — may not be compatible with the latest ReShade versions or Skyrim updates.
For Skyrim players who already use ReShade and want to enhance depth in foggy or smoky scenes without a full preset overhaul. Skip if you're new to ReShade or prefer vanilla visuals — this is a niche tweak for screenshot enthusiasts.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have ReShade installed and working before adding this preset — it's not a standalone mod.
- Test in a foggy area like the Rift or during a snowstorm to see the depth effects in action.
- If the effects don't show up, check that your ReShade version supports the shaders used by Rest Reshade.
