📋 About This Mod
First of all, big thanks to id_daemon for creating the modding tool, and to Shadlessfox for the Odradek.
Second of all, more big thanks to JohnnyDazzling, KingJulz and HardcoreHobbyist for figuring out and helping me with hair collision.
And then thanks again to id_daemon for still working on and improving the modding tool and to JohnnyDazzling for always helping me figure out what is wrong with my modding.
If you've always wanted Aloy to chuck off some of the junk she's always carrying around on her body and put on a metaphorical baggy pants and a t-shirt to lounge in at the Base or in between quests, or if you just miss Horizon Zero Dawn's Light and Medium Armors then Lighter Outfits is... kind of doing that.
The mod has two parts now:
the actual outfit mods located in the Main Files section
and the Swappable Parts "mod" in the Optional Files section
Swappable Parts is not a stand alone mod but a collection of files that you can paste into specific outfit variants to change some smaller aspects of those outfits. It also already has all the files needed to revert the changes. Most outfit elements aren't freely interchangeable between variants so as long as you try to keep to the folder names nothing should break.
Swappable Parts currently include:
Carja Blazon - Shoes, Headbands and Scarf
Carja Stalker Elite - Gloves
Nora Huntress - Headbands
Nora Lookout - Barefoot, Shoes and Necklace
Oseram Artificer - Gloves
Oseram Explorer - Arm Bandages
Quen Deadeye - Barefoot, Shoes and Bracelet
Quen Marine - Barefoot, Shoes and Net
Tenakth Dragoon - Gloves
Tenakth Recon and Reaver - Cape
Tenakth Vindicator - Barefoot, Shoes, Gloves, Scarf and Shirt Color
Important information on mod compatibility and possible bugs:
1. Latest version of the game (v1. 5. 80) is required for the mod to work (may work with older versions but it is not guaranteed).
2. The modding tool is still in early stages:
- every once in a while the shaders for replaced meshes may not load properly, which will result in the outfits looking mangled or missing parts, or with textures flickering - reloading the save file should fix this.
^this has been fixed (hopefully) and I am slowly going through all outfits, not just fixing this but cleaning up in general and adding swap parts, so it's taking a while.
- zooming the camera out far enough may reveal low res meshes or textures of t

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 303 endorsements and 41k downloads — clearly hits the spot for many players.
- Gives Aloy a fresh, casual vibe that fits downtime moments perfectly.
- Simple cosmetic change that doesn't mess with gameplay — just pure style.
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers outfits — no new armor stats or gameplay tweaks, so if you want functional changes, look elsewhere.
- No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind until you try it in-game.
- Last updated in August 2026 — might not be compatible with future patches, so keep an eye on updates.
For Horizon fans who want Aloy to look more relaxed during downtime, without overhauling the whole game. Perfect for players who enjoy role-playing the quieter moments between battles. Skip if you're after gameplay-altering mods — this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
