📋 About This Mod
The tool for the spaghetto regretto people who want to lower their difficulty choice later in the game after realizing how f'd up the health and damage amounts are on Ultra Hard. :D
UI is not the prettiest right now, I am just glad that it works and seems to reliably find the correct values to do it's thing.
Because I don't really know C++ and it is a conversion from doing the memory value and pointer searchings with Cheat Engine, with it's auto assembler and lua cheat value scripts and trying to get an .exe out of that, into a C++ program for your guys' comfort, so you don't need to install Cheat Engine and only need to launch the exe, so this is what I can offer for now.
I'll update it later with a probably prettier looking UI and bug or crash fixes.
If you encounter any strange behaviours, bugs or crashes, let me know what happened and I will try to look into it.
Already known bug seems to be weird symbols next to the status lines in the terminal window - these are supposed to be emojis (sorry, lol), which seem only to run on Windows 11's modern terminal and not 10's old one. Is on my list of next fixes.

A lightweight tool for Horizon Forbidden West that dynamically adjusts game difficulty, even after selecting Ultra Hard, without using the in-game settings menu. It offers a user-friendly but visually unpolished interface. With 16 endorsements and 600 downloads, it's a niche utility for players seeking finer difficulty control.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny niche but useful for players who want to tweak difficulty on the fly without menu diving.
- Lightweight tool—no bloat, just the job.
- 600 downloads show some interest, even if it's a small crowd.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 16 endorsements—this is a very niche mod with a small following.
- Author admits the UI is 'kinda ugly'—don't expect polish.
- Last updated in February 2025—might not be compatible with future game patches.
For Horizon Forbidden West players who want to fine-tune difficulty beyond the preset options, especially those who find Ultra Hard too brutal or too easy. Skip if you're happy with the vanilla difficulty settings or want a polished, feature-rich mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a lightweight tool, make sure to run it as administrator if it fails to work.
- Test the difficulty changes in a safe area before diving into combat.
- Keep the mod updated with the latest game version to avoid issues.
