(2026) English Subtitles for Japanese Voiceover

This only works for English Subtitles. I did not touch any other language files.

First of all, I'm not an expert at modding and this is one of my first attempts to create something like this. I tried using the one provided by another mod on the site but it was released in 2023 and has not updated since.

I was looking to play the game in Japanese dub and English subtitles but everything was making it really difficult (especially with the untranslated new texts in the past few years). The guides online were not very friendly as it did take some time to understand. So mostly this is for the not so tech savvy people instead.

Just simply download this mod and you can place it inside the following directory.

'steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods'

Do create the ~mods folder if it does not exist.

Do note that you have to set your steam language to Japanese for this to work.

And if you have added content/mods such as more spells/talents etc, it will be displayed in Japanese as that is server sided. This mod only changes the client side of the game.
