📋 About This Mod
FS-55 Hellhound
The FS-55 Hellhound has been genetically augmented to produce a higher density skeletal structure during development allowing for increased muscle density, this augmentation is then further enhanced, by increasing the soft tissues' tolerance to impacts and shockwaves. However, these augmentations come at the cost of mobility and stamina.
With these particular augmentations the FS-55 Hellhound has better recoil control and explosive resistance, making this particular strain exceptional for heavy weapons, explosives or as expendable frontline fodder to protect all of humanity.
I-44 Hellhound
The I-44 Hellhound has a similar genetic enhancements as the I-102 Hellhound strain, with the strain having higher tolerance to high temperatures and having fire resilient fur. However, this strain also suffers from the same congenital insensitivity to high temperatures and burns, as well as having the fire resilient fur that tends to burn at constant rate after being exposed to flames, with the fur often growing back at the same rate as it is being burnt. The only true difference from I-102, is that this particular strain has a heavier set body and thicker skin, allowing it to take more punishment that the I-102, but at the cost of having poorer stamina and speed.
Unlike the I-102 strain the I-44 has found a niche use in deployments, instead of being deployed with incineration units, this strain is instead given access to the LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle and placed out in front. The LAS-17 is known to set the user on fire after extended firing, normally resulting in the user being burnt alive, but due to the innate fire resistance, and inability to tell if they are burning, the I-44 strain make for the perfect user of this weapon, without needlessly endangering human helldivers with this powerful, but temperamental weapon.
