Description

Fully customizable first person camera mod for helldivers 2. Includes a mech with a glass cockpit for first person mech driving. Turrets, emplacements, and FRV passenger seats all have first person. The stock aiming system is intact, you can set a toggle keybind, etc. When Vanilla Plus Megapack is installed, there are settings. Right now offsets for aiming and the first person camera. The things that are being worked on right now are listed below

Some interactions are not finished yet and may require temporarily switching back to third person, including some terminals other than the extraction terminal.

Some weapons can partially obstruct the camera because the first-person view does not yet account perfectly for the size and position of every weapon.

There is also a known issue where the camera can occasionally revert to third person while moving and aiming backward or sideways. This is being worked on.

Mod short term update map:

The mod is also in active development and will be ironed out and fixed in time. The next update will focus on the bugs reported, mech offsets and other camera-aware features, so you can have sets for every vehicle or scenario. Aiming is looking like a solid fix, but it needs testing.

This mod is coded by hand and not AI-generated. I only use AI for things like research, all the actual code and development are done by me. Because of that, my updates may be a little slower than some of the newer AI-coded mods. Give me some time and I’ll surprise you with what’s coming.  This mod does use the Bingus Loader framework, which was made with AI assistance. See the notice on this at the end.

General tips for now.

I recommend using a laser sight, maybe even a colored replacer like my Laser recolor mod.

Look at the recommended offsets in the image gallery for starting point. 1. 0 is one meter in distance.

Fov add only applies to the first person mode, and aiming zoom only to first person aiming.

I will update the description a little later,so check back or follow the mod for updates and more clarification.

Installation

Load First Person second-to-last at the bottom of your Arsenal load order, with Bingus Loader directly below it.

You need either Mod Bindings or Vanilla Plus Megapack for the settings/keybinds.

Recommended load order:

Mod Bindings OR Vanilla Plus Megapack

First Person

Bingus Loader

Do not install both Mod Bindings and Vanilla Plus Megapack just for this mod. Either one provides the required settings/keybind functionality.

If First Person does not appear in-game, check your Arsenal load order first. It should be directly above Bingus Loader.
