What it does

Removes the honeycomb pattern and the swirling cloud from shield bubbles and turns them into a clean, see-through tint. You can see clearly through your shield while still being able to tell exactly where its edge is. The bubble keeps its colour and outline, and hit and break effects are unchanged, so you can still tell when your shield is taking damage.

  Files

    []Optional file - Pack and Directional Medium: only the SH-32 Shield Generator Pack and SH-51 Directional Shield. Use this one if you want to keep the vanilla look on the Relay and G/SH-39, or if you use a different mod for those.[/]

  Install only one of the two files.

  Installation

  Mod manager (recommended): install the zip with Arsenal or another Helldivers 2 mod manager and deploy.

  Manual: copy the three 9ba626afa44a3aa3.patch_0 files into Helldivers 2\data. If you already have a patch_0 with that name from another mod, rename these to the next free number (patch_1, patch_2 ...), keeping all three files on the same number.

  Compatibility

  • []Conflicts with any other mod that changes the same shield materials, including Bubble Shields - No honeycomb - No cloud - 0. 1 Opacity. With the optional Pack & Directional file, that mod can still be used for the Relay and G/SH-39.[/]

    []Does not touch armor, weapons, backpacks or any other visuals.[/]

    []Built for game build 25327279. A game update that changes these shield materials may require an update of this mod.[/]

    Uninstall

    Disable or remove it in your mod manager, or delete the three patch files from the data folder.

    Inspired by Bubble Shields - No honeycomb - No cloud - 0. 1 Opacity by Muchacho5894, which first did this for the Shield Generator Relay. This mod uses its own textures and extends the effect to the Shield Pack, Directional Shield and G/SH-39.
