📋 About This Mod
Description
Life up here on the super-destroyer can be dull, and your crew are growing increasingly desperate and frustrated. You may encounter some...irregular sounds on the ship as they work through this difficult time. Please be patient with them, Helldiver, and grab a ream of C-01 permits on your way back to your quarters.
As of this initial release, sounds have been replaced at three locations:
-The main hangar bay (crew and helldivers alike often 'thank' their local Eagle pilot for munitions well-delivered...the Eagle's nest is a-rockin')
-The ship management console (some of the crew quarters were foolishly placed directly behind your ship's upgrade center)
-The crew workstations on the starboard side of the bridge (even your ship's elite operators sometimes forget to close their 'personal' tabs)
The super-destroyer that I am able to reliably test with is almost fully upgraded at the ship management console (where you spend samples for strats and modules). Some of the assets that this mod replaces are unique to later 'evolutions' of the ship. This primarily affects the ship management console but possibly the bridge crew assets as well. You may not be able to hear these assets until you are on a ship that is sufficiently upgraded; be it your own or someone else's. It seems that the hangar tracks still play on even lower-leveled ships.
The ship environmental SFX that were replaced were not constant loops. Don't panic if you don't immediately (or constantly) hear the new assets. Some will take a little bit of time to be randomly selected to play. I didn't want the sounds to become obnoxious.
Installation instructions
Drag the zipped file into your mod manager and let it install the patches. Activate and deploy the mod.
Each location is toggle-able within the mod options if you decide you don't want all three locations active. Additionally, each location has its own volume adjustment. All the sounds fall under 'Sound Effects Volume' in the in-game audio settings. You may need or want to adjust your in-game audio settings accordingly to be able to hear some of these.
I am not currently aware of any other mods that patch these same audio files, but conflicts are certainly possible.
