Enhanced Stratagem Icons - Clear Precise Tactical

This mod is a comprehensive visual overhaul that replaces the default stratagem icons with a complete, logically redesigned set. It began as the “A-10 Thunderbolt II - Eagle Stratagem Icon Replacement” and has evolved into a full-scale project. My goal is to transform icons from vague labels into instant sources of tactical information, helping you know exactly what you're calling down amidst the chaos of battle.

The Need for Clarity

The original icons can sometimes lead to costly battlefield confusion. Was that the reusable "Spear" or the expendable "Commando"? The sustained "Laser Cannon" or the charged "Quasar Cannon"?

This mod aims to resolve those ambiguities.

Design Philosophy: From Labels to Guides

I believe a stratagem icon should visually communicate how it works. Every redesign follows this core principle:

• []Instant Weapon Identification: Sentry guns now show specific weapon silhouettes (e.g. MG-43). Mechs clearly display their unique armaments.[/]

  []Clear Mechanic Signaling: Icons visually convey key mechanics. The “Quasar Cannon” features a charging ring, and the “Commando” launcher includes a laser beam for painting targets.[/]

  []Inspired by Role: The “Eagle” stratagems now bear the silhouette of the A-10 Thunderbolt II, aligning their visual identity with their close air support role.[/]

  []Seamless Integration: All changes adhere to the game's established art style, using cleaner silhouettes and intuitive symbols without clashing with the UI.[/]
