(Abandoned) That's what i call low quality preset - FPS and clarity booster - ReShade addon preset - Performance tweak

Hi, this is description of my mod, lol

Status (25. 12. 2025) - I'm no longer interested in keeping this config updated. Due to .ini file being based on ReShade janky addon, it has hardware related problems (at least that's what comments section has proved me, i myself have no issues with it at all).

Also,the game devs proven to be absolutely incompetent in what they're doing, this game is basically stuck in "Hey, here's some useless weapon reskins, prepare for some fan service crap in next month because we're getting review bombed for 999th time!" cycle. New interview Niklas Malmborg left me completely out of any will to continue playing this game, this man has NO IDEA what game balance is and how it supposed actually to work. I'm out, sorry, but not so sorry.

Can you do now? Either forget about this page and never come back, or use this abandonware for some time, before SlopHeadGameStudios break it for 4th time. Oh, and yeah, just don't be lazy as me and remember that you can make your own.

Sorry for this text wall, i thought it would be better to clarify what to expect, rather than pretending that this still fully works, like Hybred did.

Alright. What this thing is exactly?

(blah-blah-blah, skip to the installation part if you just want to download the mod after being satisfied with results of my work in screenshots)

This "mod" is a toggle group list (.ini file, a.k.a config) for ReShade's addon (ShaderToggler), containing a lot of groups used for hiding unnecessary particles/decals/sometimes even models. (Features optional stuff since version 1. 2!)

This preset boosts in-game clarity and also boosts your fps (Boost a lot depends on a hardware (I believe it usually helps when you have GPU bottleneck issue), so sure try it if you're in deep need of FPS and struggling on some old toaster)

Also, this .ini is merged with Hybred' .ini from his modpage, (No longer! Since Xbox compability patch, his .ini is no longer working, so its no longer included) give him an endorsement if you wish to, his .ini is responsible for getting rid of fog and that kind of stuff. (also, this mod is my main inspiration for creating a config myself).

This mod can be considered as an alternative to a DRG mod that removes all the particles, but for HD2.

What does this "mod" (.ini configuration file, actually) removes(for clarity and fps boosting purposes)?

I've been making and testing this config for so long, that even I dont know everything it hides (probably), but here's a list of thing i can remember!

(This might can be a bit obsolete. This description has not been updated since like... 1. 1. 3? Just remember that my .ini file doesn't change LODs or other stuff, besides a bit of details and particles. I'll update this once i'm not lazy enough for it)

SES (Super destroyer/lobby):

- Removed Fog, (optional)

unnecessary planets in space/stuff,

everything displayed on monitors (not including main monitor with broadcasts, don't worry),

glass near cryo pods,

some lightning.

- Tweaked galactic war map by removing clutter (transparent grid, the gloom fog, space background). (optional)

- Got rid of space lightning from planet you`re currently on.

- Shading of character/guns in armory and mission preparing stage

- Shadows i could get rid off (partly optional)

Removed stuff on missions:

- Any fog/smoke (not including smoke grenade, spore charger's fog) that i could possibly remove (that Hybred's mod didn't hide). (partly optional)

- Bushes/grass models that aren't providing any debuffs and collisions and have no collision.

- Non-accessible background (including water type)

- Sample container model (you can still find it by looking on lightning it provides) (partly optional)

- Black thing under jungle trees

- (almost) Everything related to rain

- Cosmetic particles flying around

- Cosmetic decals

- Blood splatter that is possible to remove

- Trash on the streets, and basically any clutter with no collision

And probably other stuff i forgor. Might not sound like a lot of hidden cosmetic content, b
