halo reach recon

This mod completely overhauls the oni sword base mission from reach. If i get enough downloads, i'll probably make a full campaign version. i don't have a lot to say except that this mod took me a lot of time and i hope it gets the recognition it deserves. so, let's get into the changes!

IMPORTANT EDIT: DUE TO SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE HALO REACH ENGINE, REACH RECON FULL CAMPAIGN WON'T SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY. I'M SAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT, AFTER ABOUT 3 WEEKS OF WORK ON IT, I ACCIDENTALLY BROKE THE MOD. IT'S A LONG STORY AND I WILL SPARE THE DETAILS BUT IT'S PRACTICALLY NO LONGER PLAYABLE.

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION DOWN BELOW

CHANGES TO THE PLAYER AND THE BASIC GAMEPLAY

-obviously, you now play as a custom odst.

-noble team is gone and completely replaced with a brand new odst squad with custom mechanics and character models.

-the whole mod is based on the concept that you are with your squad, so make sure they follow you. they can be pretty dumb and be stuck because of a tiny crate so make sure they follow you. if you lose one of them, they will be back at the end of the mission, after the elevator.

-i made a custom hud  based on the halo 3 odst hud

-the player's jump height and speed has been reduced to be more in line with the odst gameplay.

-the difficulties property have been modified so the game is more balanced

CHANGES TO THE VEHICLES AND WEAPONS

-the dmr fires faster, is more accurate, and has a 20 round magazine

-the assault rifle also fires faster, is more accurate and has a 36 round magazine

-the warthog is now a troophog (see images at the top). you can also, now, get in the back of the troophog and let your stupid friends make you fall and die (or if you're playing with a friend, that's a viable option)

INTRODUCING THE NEW ODST SQUAD (see images at top)

RED

-red is the heavy of the squad, his main weapon is a rocket launcher and he carries an assault rifle. he has special grenade throwing capabilities as well.

GREEN

-green is the sniper, he has special sniper firing capabilities, and that's pretty much it.

BROWN

-brown is a dmr specialist and can fire weapons at a longer range.

BLUE

-blue is the covenant specialist, his main weapon is an assault rifle but he also carries a plasma pistol that he uses at the end of the mission.he also throws plasma grenades instead of frag grenades.

BLACK

-black is the player, it's you, so yeah...
