Halo MCC VR APLHA

Description

Halo MCC VR is a native C++ OpenXR mod written using claude and codex to brings MCC into full VR on the Steam and Microsoft Store/Game Pass editions. Halo 3, ODST, and Reach are currently playable alphas. This mod contains 6DOF head tracking, motion-controlled aiming, per-title vehicle controls, a in-VR settings menu — 3d movie style cutscenes and more features coming!

Installation instructions

  []Download the ZIP and unzip it.[/]

  []Copy 

  halo3xr.dll, 

  halo3xr_launcher.exe, and 

  halomccvr.cfg into a folder named exactly 

  Halo_MCC_VR inside your MCC root install folder.

  []Steam: Manage > Browse local files.[/]

  []Microsoft Store / Game Pass: In the Xbox app,

  ... > Manage > Files > Browse, then open the 

  Content folder (next to 

  MicrosoftGame.config).[/]

[]Set SteamVR as your default OpenXR runtime, start SteamVR, then run 

halo3xr_launcher.exe.

• []On Steam, start Steam too.[/]

  []On Game Pass, be signed in to the Xbox app. Do not start MCC yourself — the launcher starts it for you, and it appears a few seconds slower than on Steam.[/]

Main features

• []Full VR for Halo 3, ODST, and Reach — play all three campaigns in real 6DOF, on both the Steam and Microsoft Store/Game Pass editions of MCC, from one install.[/]

  []Motion-controlled aiming — point your controller where you want the shot to go.[/]

  []Cinematic Stereo 3D Theater cutscenes — cutscenes play out on a screen fixed in the room in front of you. Keep full head tracking, lean in, look around — every cinematic still framed exactly the way it was shot.

  Forge, Firefight, customs and co-op campaign are in playable states

  Requirements

  You just need the game and a VR headset for your PC
