Halo CE MA5B Assault Rifle for the H2EK

INTRODUCTION

This is VKMT's port of Halo: Combat Evolved's MA5B Assault Rifle for use with the H2EK.

We did our best to accurately recreate the experience of the MA5B in Halo 2.

We recommend you use it with Elote's port of the CE M6D Magnum!

CONTENT -- OVERVIEW

We imported the original models, textures, animations, and sounds.

The distinct muzzle flash of the MA5B was recreated, using the original sprites.

Essentially all of the weapon stats were copied over, except for the damage of the bullets.

The damage was decreased to compensate for the lower durability of characters in Halo 2.

Material effects for the projectile were set to match CE.

The ammo pick-up for the MA5B from CE is also included.

Like the MA5B itself, it uses the original model, textures, and sound.

The MA5B comes with its own weapon HUD, based on the SMG's weapon HUD.

The correct weapon icon is shown when equipped or unequipped.

Both Spartans and Elites can use the MA5B.

Spartans use the original first-person animations. Elites use custom first-person animations.

CONTENT -- THE 3 VERSIONS

Three versions of the MA5B are included.

The only difference between them is their appearance. Each version uses different textures for the body.

halo1 -- the original textures from CE

halo1_mcc -- the HD textures used in the MCC's UE4 menu

halo1_ted -- the HD textures done by TJ Sauce / Ted

INSTRUCTIONS

Put the folder named "tags" in your H2EK folder.

Everything inside should automatically end up in the correct place.

The default location of the H2EK is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\H2EK

The three versions of the MA5B are in:

H2EK\tags\objects\weapons\rifle\assault_rifle

The ammo pick-up for the MA5B is in:

H2EK\tags\objects\powerups\assault_rifle_ammo_fixed
