Halo 3 - HD Weapons and Vehicles

Description

While great, the original Halo 3 textures for a large amount of assets like weapons and vehicles are starting to show their age, with upscaled bitmaps in MCC being usually are 768 x 768 and the originals in the mod tools commonly around 640 x 640. However as a part of game's live service, 343 published versions of the bitmaps for some assets - almost all of the weapons and vehicles - at 2K resolution. While it is unknown whether these are merely upscaled versions or an iteration much closer to the source textures which would have been created during Halo 3's development, these textures result in much more visual clarity and really helps hide the age of the almost 20 year game. 

Format:

These textures are in the standard Halo format. (Diffuse - Albedo + AO + Specular, Bump - DirectX format) 

Included is a set of both already imported & ready to import textures of the assets. Due to being bitmaps, they do not require a specific file location to function however it is recommended to follow a similar layout to Bungie to avoid confusion

Installation instructions

The Imported bitmaps are drag & drop and just need to be hooked up in your individual shader tags. The Ready-to-Import bitmaps are in .tif format which tool accepts for importing
