Halo 2 Heretic Edition

CHANGES

. Spec ops elites have been replaced with heretic majors and are now armed with carbines

. Spec ops grunts have been replaced with heretic grunts and are now armed with needlers

. Spec ops commander (Shipmaster) has been replaced with the heretic leader armed with an energy sword

. Heretic elites have been replaced with spec ops elites armed with plasma rifles & sentinel beams

. Heretic grunts have been replaced with spec ops grunts armed with plasma pistols & fuel rods

. Heretic leader has been replaced by none other then the ship master himself!

. Heretic melee damage has finally been restored!

. Sentinels still classify as enemies and will aid the covenant in killing you

THE ARBITER

. The first 2 elites within the room are glitched into council variations, I've tried tinkering to this for quite some time to no avail, just think of them as bodyguards! They still have the same health and shields as the other elites as intimidating as they look!

. The shipmaster doesn't play the heretics leader dialogue before entering the banshee (This may not change as I've tried multiple changes to no avail, any help or advice on this is welcome!)

. The allies provided at the beginning appear to have some form of visual glitch in anniversary graphics which makes them appear to have over shields

. During the mini cutscene with the heretic leader some dialogue is cut out

. I'm unable to change the hologram models without glitching the dialogue resulting in you needing to kill it where the dialogue takes place to progress

INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Locate your h2_maps_win64_dx11 within D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo2 (This may vary dependant on where you have Halo MCC it installed)

2. Backup your original 04a_gasgiant.map (Copy and place into a different folder)

3. Take the downloaded 04a_giant.map file within the mod and place it within D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo2\h2_maps_win64_dx11

4. You should get an option to replace existing files, please hit replace! An you can enjoy

5. When launching the game ensure you click the anti-cheat disabled option, you've been warned!

UNINSTALL GUIDE

1. Take the original 04a_gasgiant.map previously backed up and replace back into its original location!
