Alex's Halo MCC Reshade Preset

My personal Reshade Preset that I thought I'd share. Yet another one.

Recently, my best friend gifted me the game on Steam and I thought I'd tinker around with it some more to make it look even nicer.

On the mod page, I've uploaded GIFs you can check for comparisons.

The last few images have a more close comparison as well.

Performance

On a GTX1080, the average usage of 35% in Vanilla goes up to around 60%. That's the highest I've seen it go.

If you have a low/mid-end computer, expect a 5-10 fps drop. Unfortunately, this isn't quite performance-friendly with the Volumetric Lighting if your computer already struggles a bit.

Installation

1. Download Reshade from Reshade.me

2. Run through the Installer

3. Select Direct3D 10+

4. Navigate to and select the game . EXE

The directory of the game . EXE should be "X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\MCC\Binaries\Win64\MCC-Win64-Shipping"

5. When asked about downloading a collection of standard effects, click Yes and leave all selected

6. Finish the installation

7. Drag and drop the config file from my preset into the same directory where the game . EXE is

8. Go in-game, run through the tutorial and pick my preset
