Swap Weapons With Johnson

Description

For whatever reason (probably so you can't use the Stanchion), you are unable to swap weapons with Johnson. This means he is forever locked to an assault rifle when fighting with him, making his usefulness limited. Now, much like any other marine, you can give him whatever weapon you desire! Be it a support weapon like a plasma rifle, or returning him to his glory days as a sniper sergeant! Obviously, he has the same limitations as other marines.

::PLEASE NOTE::

I have only tested this with the main campaign. I have not played the prequel missions. As far as I can tell, prequel Johnson references the main Johnson AI, so it should in theory work there. If using this in the prequel missions, I highly recommend you download a mod that lets you use the stanchion, to reduce the likelihood of something breaking in those missions. This mod should also make it so that you don't have to kill him to retrieve it (in theory).

If Johnson dies, he will drop the weapon you gave him, and respawn with his default weapon; so you will have to retrieve the weapon again and give it back to him if you want him to keep using it. Just be mindful of where he dies on higher difficulties. If I turn off his respawn weapon, he will respawn without a weapon, and doesn't pick a new one up, so this is how it has to be.

Also recommend you pair it with Swap Weapons With Williams if playing the prequel missions.

::COMPATIBILITY::

This mod will conflict with anything that modifies Johnson's tag directly, which as of right now is none (as far as I can tell).
