The story as told by the Covenant - Halo Covenant Edition lets you choose your side in the war, and see Halo behind the scenes as you work from the inside to uncover the truth behind the Covenant power structure.

Play on Covenant team, and defeat the Cyborgs! Play as a Jackal with a hand-held shield to deflect their bullets, and uncover the truth to Halo's mysteries.

To use your shield, you must be crouching. Keep in mind, the shield is not visible in the first-person-view. Jackals hold their shields in their right hands. The Jackal Player can drive Ghosts and Warthogs, and use all guns. Covenant allies can board the Warthog gunner and passenger seats with you. The Jackal Player also comes with cool first-person textures for the hands.

To install, move your original maps to a backup folder. Then move these maps into their place, usually 'Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps'. To find this folder, go to your Steam library, right-click Halo Master Chief Collection, then select 'Manage -> Browse local files'. Copy these maps into the 'maps' folder, and rename them back to their original names in order to play. Be sure to back up your original maps first.

To run, you must turn Anti-Cheat off to allow custom maps. Make sure graphics are set to classic.

To install, copy the maps into your Program Files\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Halo The Master Chief Collection\halo1\maps folder. To play, rename to match and replace their respective single player campaign map, such as from the following list:

-a10.map: Pillar of Autumn

-a30.map: Halo

-a50.map: Truth and Reconciliation

-b30.map: Silent Cartographer

-b40.map: Assault on the Control Room

-c10.map: 343 Guilty Spark

-c20.map: The Library

-c40.map: Two Betrayals

-d20.map: Keyes

-d40.map: The Maw
